HONORARY MEDICAL FACULTY APPOINTMENT
The American Board of Hospital Physicians has been setting up and
coordinating a program of Continuing Medical Education with three medical
schools, one of which is in England and has had five Nobel Prize Laureates as
Lecturers. The program is for the benefit of medical students,
interns, residents, and practicing physicians. Any of our Diplomates who wishes
to write a lecture or donate a Grand Rounds case discussion will be of
significant help in these medical education programs. This is an opportunity to
help not only students and physicians, but also the patients who will be the
ultimate recipients of the benefits of improved medical care. All Diplomates who
participate in this educational and humanitarian program by donating a lecture
or case discussion, will receive honorary faculty appointment as Associate
Professor or Assistant Professor at one of the three participating medical schools.
The automatic medical faculty appointment is given only to Diplomates of the
American Board of Hospital Physicians. We feel this is a splendid humanitarian
opportunity for our Diplomates to help further the cause of scientific medical
education.
